Schools are given the opportunity to nominate a select number of students to attend trials which are usually held in June /July before the season begins in September.

Training is held at Manor Netball Centre, Wednesbury.

South Staffordshire Netball caters for a number of age groups -

* Under 12 Centre of Excellence
* Under 14 Satellite Academy
* Under 16 County Academy

The training sessions are ran by qualified level two England Netball coaches and supported by the regional talent coach.

Players identified with potential and who demonstrate a high degree of skill and intensity within academy training are then invited to Regional Screening Days. Potential performance pathways include the Regional Talent Squad, the NTL squad ' West Midlands Warriors', the England Netball Talent programme and National Squad.
