Local netball teams join forces to raise money for local children’s charities.

A charity netball tournament to raise funds for Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Acorns Children’s Hospice (Walsall) was held last month at Our Lady St Chads School in Wolverhampton. The event organised by Dudley based Libra Lea Netball Club and Dudley Leisure Netball Club saw over 180 friends and family take to the court in mixed teams during the day.

​On a day when normal local club rivalries were put aside, team mates instead found themselves pitted against each other, playing alongside their family and friends.  

“Whether you’re a regular player or one of our dedicated supporters you’re part of the netball family and it’s great to see the girls playing alongside their parents and siblings today and the competitive nature of our husband and wife teams” said Sally Bromley – Head Coach for Libra Lea
