Sally- Ann Chambers
It is with the deepest sense of loss that South Staffordshire County Netball Association announces the death of Sally- Ann Chambers.
Our County Vice Chair and County Performance Lead. Sally has been an enormously valuable member of the Netball Family in South Staffordshire and the West Midlands. Over a number of years Sally played, umpired and volunteered tirelessly at Club, County and Regional level always exercising her staunch belief that netball should be available to all and played by the rules. |
Her tenacity and determination to forge memories whilst there was still time in the "last quarter" characterised her approach to the illness which eventually claimed her life on July 11th 2024.
Sally was a dear friend and colleague to so many, but especially to all who knew her through netball in South Staffs, and will be deeply missed.
Our thoughts and prayers are with her family at this very sad time.

Book of Condolence
In loving memory of Sally, an inspirational netball coach who believed in each of us and dedicated herself to helping us become the best versions of ourselves. Her continued support, insane amounts passion, encouragement along with constructive feedback have left an undeniable mark on our lives.
Sally will be missed dearly by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Forever united in blue 💙💛 love Sammi xxx
Sally was a real force in netball - took no cr@p and drove people to be their best.
We didn't really get chance to know each other like many others did as I tended to see her as the relentless umpire and the coach of the opposition! Joining Midrange only a year ago, hardly a session goes by without Sally being mentioned and everyone strives to do her proud. What a legacy to leave.
My thoughts go out to family and friends and wish that the happy memories will flood their pain with smiles in good time.
I have been so blessed to have had a dear friend like you Sally-Ann - this is what will make saying goodbye so hard. Love you always. Sleep tight, Sarah Jane xxx with smiles in good time.

Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories
Like many others in netball I knew Sally mainly through netball, playing against her, having her umpire my games, coach my daughters through county and many other netball events. Always offering advice and help with a wonderful smile on her face even when telling you off!! Like most netball moms we understood how hard life can be juggling work, motherhood and work but Sally gave her all to every part of netball she was involved with and even to the end she carried on inspiring us all. Sending love to all her family and close friends and her Midrange family 💙💛💙💛 RIP Sally ❤️ love Kerry Tildesley
